Rock Stars

I've had very little time to spend on the computer this week, but have learned that I must organize my pictures if I am to be able to include them in this journal. I have started with my grandchildren, of course. I remember before I was a grandparent (Nana, that is) the various bumper stickers grandparents affixed to their vehicles often made me think that those grandparents were being more than a little obsessed, and basically needed to get some hobbies. Of course, I experienced an epiphany with the birth of my perfect first grandchild and have an entirely different attitude now when I see those bumper stickers. Hopefully, when I release this post you will see the youngest and the oldlest of our crew - Faith, who just had her first birthday and Jerry, who will be 18 next month. Jerry (with mike in hand) has a band, actually a very good band and will be playing in Myrtle Beach this Friday night and at the Music Farm on his 18th birthday, Feb. 13. Faith looks almost identical to Jerry's baby pictures, but right now her idea of "rockin" is not exactly the same as her Cousin Jerry's. Nana is her rock star with the help of a spindle back chair of a similar name.

In The Beginning

I was never much at keeping a diary, but this blogging bug has bitten the Chucktown Needler. In a way I can't imagine that anyone would really want to read my little journal, but in my heart I want to write it! I have aleady had a lot of fun coming up with its name. Believe me, my brain has been swirling. I consulted my partner (husband, he is) this morning with some of my thoughts. He made a couple of suggestions. Most of the time it's easy for me to go with one of his suggestions, but that was not to be on this one. However, somehow his comments did lead me to making yet another list and coming up with "Lucy in the Stars with Diamonds." Stay tuned for more about the title which actually has a lot to do with my addictive hobby of quilting but even more with where this mortal is today. Today - which is definitely a winter day.
